      Forgiveness = क्षमा, Honesty = प्रामाणिकता, Suppression = शमः, and Control = दमः
      श्लोकः १८-४२ in श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता mentions शमो दमस्तपः शौचं क्षान्तिरार्जवमेव च. Here, the श्लोक begins with शमः, and दमः. क्षान्ति = Forgiveness = क्षमा. तपः शौचं and आर्जवम् do have Honesty implicit.

    There are grammatical mistakes, the क्त प्रत्यय has been totally misused, where as क्तवतु प्रत्यय should have been used; e.g. सूर्योदयदिशं प्रति गतः (should be गतवान्). Other grammatical mistakes are द्वितीयः आतपे धूलौ च दक्षिणं गतः, तृतीयः सूर्यास्तदिशं प्रति गतः ।
    Recently I am seeing large misuse of क्त प्रत्यय even in magazines like CHANDAMAMA, SAMBHASHA SANDESH. It is time to make Scholars aware of the difference in क्त प्रत्यय and क्तवतु प्रत्यय before we land up up misguiding the students.

    • प्रिय प्रमोदवर्य ! Technically you are right. But, may I sight a passage बाणभट्टस्य कादंबर्याम् – “इति निश्चित्य एकदा प्रातर्विहार*निर्गतः* एव उत्तरां ककुभं गृहीत्वा अवहम् ।” It seems, a freelance use of क्त प्रत्यय is not uncommon especially with गम् धातुः ।

  2. Sir, The passage you have sited is not freelance but grammatically correct usage of क्त प्रत्ययः. See इति निश्चित्य एकदा प्रातर्विहारः निर्गतः (अहम्) एव उत्तरां ककुभं गृहीत्वा अवहम् । It is not used in place of क्तवतु प्रत्ययः as you seem to suggest. If at all the क्तवतु प्रत्ययः is to be used the sentence would require use यदा and तदा and would be less accurate – इति निश्चित्य एकदा (यदा) प्रातर्विहारम् निर्गतवान् (अहम्) (तदा) एव उत्तरां ककुभं गृहीत्वा अवहम् ।
